  1. Oh poor you . I can well relate to what you are going through. My ideal pet menagerie was a redtailed boa and an exotic, an emerald tree boa. I had my first red tailed boa die and my first emerald tree boa. I am reasonably that my first red tailed had a respiratory infection and my emerald tree I surmise had been wild caught , it had not been born in captivity.  That was hard because it was $ 600.00 and all my hope smashed . another thing to look for in snakes that are pets is when they do what they call "star gazing" I cannot remember but that means they are really sick and whatever the disease that goes along with that symptom cannot be cured . Stargazing is when they kind of raise up and sway back and forth but dont do anything and they do it unprovoked( ie: when there is no food or anything else around ) that is not a good sign Sorry i cannot remember the specifics its been awhile since i have had snakes. But I would just advise that you look for those things and dont give up if you suspect that the snake was sick bring the dead snake back to the store be persistent snakes are great  species esp red tailed and ball pythons . Dont give up and good luck

  2. it sounds like u got them from the wrong place pet stores tend to think more about there profit then the animals read a good site and care sheet use this site

  3. they could have had mites. they go inside them and eat them in under a week. they are very small and hard to see

  4. Red tails are pretty sturdy snakes- so either your doing something dreadfully wrong, or your buying sickly animals..

Any chance you could add details about your setup and how exactly they died? If these were your first snakes, then red tails weren't a good choice either..

What temperature was the warm side? What temperature was the cool side? How do you measure and control the temperature? Did they eat for you? What did you feed? What did you use for substrate? Did you house them together?

If you could add more details, I would love to help you figure out what's going on and possibly recommend a better snake. You can just select edit to add more info to your question..

  5. Corn snake
