I had 6 points in the first 2 years of driving and my licence was revoked. Now i have passed my test again do the points stay on the licence or will they be kept on there?

  1. They MAY be gone from your license, but your insurance will still consider them and the revocation when giving you quotes.


  2. Sorry they take 4 years to come off even if you repass your test and are 110% road safe.

  3. In the UK any points that you get stay on your licence for four years, whether you have taken a re-test or not.

  4. they will stay on your licence untill they expire, so you will have to declare them on your insurance as they form part of your driving history.

  5. They will obviously come off else you'd get it revoked again!  Your licence is now clean. Try and keep it that way.

  6. They are effective for 3 years but stay on the licence for 4.

  7. my husband has just had the same happen to him. his points have stayed on there. if you have any further points you are instantly banned.
