I had a 10g tank for my hermit crabs,now i have a 20g.what should i use my 10g for?

tanks are not good for mammals and desert/dry climate reptiles- they hold too much moisture. Snakes no they need a proper climate controlled cabinet with good ventilation and a tank is NEVER a good idea for a snake.

Remember a 5 gallon tank is fairly small so a frog or some more hermit crabs is the way to go!

I recommend two fire bellied frogs. These guys only need 4 gallons of space each, so why not? Crickets is their staple, and they will eat mealworms and waxworms. Fill a quarter inch of water and a land space, and you're ready to go! Also use peat moss, it helps.

Some people will keep a smaller tank such as 10 gal for a spare.  If you only have a couple crabs and you decide you want to re-decorate, it may be easier to set up the decorations in the un-used tank and get it set up similar to the current tank before switching.  Other people use it for an "Isolation" tank for their crabs, if one should appear to pull a surface molt on you to protect that crab during the process.

Or you may decide to sell the 10 gal on craigslist.org or give it away at freecycle.org.  These two groups are local to you so shipping would not be an issue.

ya leopard geckos, fire bellies, more crabs, a lot of baby reptiles but not many more full growns.

You should either get more hermit crabs or get some cool looking fish.  Aquatic frogs are cool to.

get a leopard gecko they only require a 10gal tank and are very friendly.. they are your best bet.. and they are esy to care for.. hope i was a help if u need any more info on them email me

  you could possibly get by with a green anole. I just store ten gallons for breeding crikets or putting fish in, they really dont have a use for reptiles
