Question:

I had a Ticket, Summoned For Court, But Now It's Gone?

I received a ticket in the mail for running a red light. I was broke and down in life and decided to avoid the whole problem. That was a good 3 years ago. I called LAPD and they told me there's no warrants out for me, and even the DMV says there's no records on license.

Is this possible? Should I just thank god for a second chance?

Also, my license expired last year and I didn't renew, could that be why DMV has nothing on my record?

  1. Receiving a red light ticket court summons in the mail is borderline improper service, so the court could have thrown it out for that reason.  The DMV will always be able to keep records on you regardless of your license status, so I do not see how that could have changed it.
