  1. What did you do wrong? It's hard to say, probably nothing.

Illness in birds can progress very rapidly, and unless you know exactly what symptoms to watch for, you may not even realize the poor thing's sick until too late. If you see a change in your bird's behavior - lethargy, not taking food, loose stool, etc., then act quickly and get your bird to a veterinarian as quickly as possible.

Sorry to hear about your pet.

  2. I never had a pet bird b4,but I think it was because of its food.Sorry bcause of your loss too. Some vets suggest to buy food that shows on adds on T.V

Some older food that they have invented a long time ago might effect the food. And if it does, the food is considered poisoness for your pet.Check online for best foods for pets birds or other pets you have around your house.

PPL have said that their pets died because of the food they ate...like stomach poisining...or food poisoning.Maybe that happened to your bird...I have a dog and she eats what I buy her.And what I buy her is food that they usualy show on T.V

If you ever do consider on buying a new pet bird, research on it.Ask other people that have pr had birds and how they took care of them.As soon as you're sure about the whole thing...you can buy your bird. When you take it to the vet,ask him/her what are good foods for the bird.

    ...again...sorry....

    Oh!And another thing!

The food u gave it might of not been the type of food a 6 month old bird should eat....

  3. I am so very sorry about the loss of your baby. Its hard to say what may have killed her.You probably didn't do anything wrong. Did you have her examined by an avian vet when you purchased her ? She may have been harboring an illness when you got her. Always have an exam done with a fecal and a gram stain when you purchase a new bird.Birds at bird marts are exposed to alot of different things and with the stress of a new home, she may not have been able to fight off the illness she had.In the future, I would only buy a bird from a reputable source. Good Luck to you.

P.S. At least she had someone to love her for her short life here on earth.
