that is rubbish...you can take on the odors of what you eat.  my sister eats a lot of curry and garlic...she stinks but yet is a very clean person.

I heard something similar. But this person said that they are all evil or something. I just laughed it off.

Well, your Arab friend is sadly misinformed.

I have been in, literally, dozens of Muslim homes.

All were well kept as far as I could see, and none of them stank.

Unless you count the smells of some really great cooking!

That's a "stink" I can live with!
