  1. Baby ducklings need to be kept warm at all times, so he/she probably got too cold...:(

  2. so sorry wish i could help

  3. Did you give him unmedicated starter feed?

Was he under a heat lamp?

Was he eating and drinking well?

What kind of brooder box was he in?

If you can answer those questions I will be able to help you further.

  4. My mom has raised hatchling ducks, have you been feeding them chick starter? Also, make sure they have water, but have something like a glass on a saucer with water so they don't drown. Their food is easier for them to eat with water to help it go down. Also, don't hold them too much. If you do handle them, support their feet so their is not too much pressure on their bellies.

Side note: ducks, especially babies, are very social. They have a better chance of surviving if there is more than one. They like company. Hope this helps.

  5. there are probely many reasons why the duck died, it could be because of incubation problems did you flip the egg(s) at least three times a day?? you have to do this if you want a good hatch of healthy birds.  maybe it caught the chills when it hatchd was it kept at a temperture of around 95 degrees F? was the bird eating, drinking, and pooping normaly?  You might have to give more information on what you did during incubation and the 3 days he lived.
