  1. I don't really know for sure, but I believe that you can switch to breast milk. You need to contact your pediatrician first though. If you don't have it already, you should check into getting on WIC for yourself and your baby. Your baby will be covered until the age of 5. Formula usually varies in price depending on the size and kind you are getting.

  2. I had a c section too and my son was in the NICU for 10 days after i had him and he was given similac while he was there. When i finally got to bring him home he was so used to the similac he didnt want to drink breastmilk. So i was stuck giving him similac. I would give it a try.

  3. I had a c-section as well and I had trouble breast feeding due to my breast milk bot flowing correctly.  My son will be 4 months on Aug 25th and he has been using Enfamil.  I'm from Missouri and a large can normally ran me from $6 - $8.  I've applied for Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program and they have helped me big time with purchasing milk.  Check with your local WIC office to see if you qualify.  Believe me....they help out big time when it comes to your baby's needs.

  4. congrats!! u should talk to the babys dr before switching anything. and enfamil costs 12-13 dollars a can here (IL) but if your state does WIC and you qualify they will pay for it.
