I had a crazy dream twice already...what does it mean please???

Question

I dreamed that someone shot me and I died, and I had that same dream like a couple of months ago. The only difference between the dreams is that he last one, after being shot many times I was still conscious and then I thought insid of me "God forgive me for all the bad things I have done" because in reality sometimes I worry about who goes to heaven or not. Does anyone have an idea of what this dream/nightmare could mean??

P.S. I did not feel any pain in the dream, I just felt like I became really weak and then stopped breathing :( IDK

This sounds to me like a guilt dream. However, you may not have actually done anything wrong or bad recently to have guilty feelings. This can be especially true for people who live in or grew up in very conservative Christian environments.

My advice, if I am right, is to figure out if there is something specific you are feeling guilty about or if it is simply an overall feeling that you have been a bad person. If it is something specific don't try to hide from it, but face it with openness and transparency. Just remember, in the Christian faith, judgment is up to God not us. This should be a relief not a sense of worry for you since having faith means you trust that God is capable of making those kind of decisions (doubt is part of that as well though). If anyone tells you or suggests otherwise then they are probably have similar dreams as you.

From what you said in the dream, maybe you feel guilty about something and your afraid of how you'll be judged when you die, or it could just be nervousness and wondering, if you'll get into heaven, but that again shows that you feel some kind of guilt or regret.

Dreams can mean a variety of things, but the main thing to look for is how did you feel in the dream? The emotion you feel could point towards a lot of things.

There are many books on dreams, but according to my old, wise meditation teacher he said they were bogus- symbolism, all that stuff- what really matters is how you felt in the dream.

If I had had this dream, I would interpret it to mean that I feel out of control in some part of my life.

A plea for forgiveness could be some residual guilt for feeling that I made a decision that allowed things to get out of control; it's all my fault somehow.
