what do you think? shall i bet on him?! has he got a fair chance of winning? i know its anyones race but is he on good form at the moment?

Sounds like a good choice - the Grand National is a lottery anyway - so I'd go for it, but probably each way if the odds make sense.

think i am going for Slim Pickings, ran well last year coming in third, and has been building up for the nationals all year.

Hedgehunters not quite in the form of his career but it's not impossible as he's a regular of this race and knows the track well.

Why not stick a small amount each way on it?

Hedgehunter has a great chance in my opinion. very unlucky to fal in 2004, won well in 2005 and a very credible 2nd in 2006. None of the others can boast as impressive a record round Aintree as this one.
