This guy came with his business associate "friend" they drunk all night including bring there own alcohol to the hotel!! They messed up my ceremony music. They did not have any of the must play songs that i gave them a list for. He got mad because a couple people told them he needed to play some funner music. Then told me and my husband that he would only stay if no one else made request. We made a announcement for no more request. My 60 year old grandma did not hear the announcement and went and asked for a song he pretty much yelled at her then pulled the plug and said he was leaving. no music for 20min! Finally my husband talked him into staying (just to somewhat save the night) he stayed and played ok music I guess but still none of the songs I had asked for. We paid him at the end of the night just because we did not want any problems the night of our wedding but wrote a complaint the next day. He owns the company so we can not go over his head he has not responded. Can I sue?

  1. nothing

  2. Definitely file suit at small claims court. Then spread the word to friends and family about his business practices.

  3. shoot i would...that was your special day and your paying him to do what you asked him to do. Since he did not comply with it i would say sue for your misery.

  4. send a certified letter so you have confirmation of receipt.  if you don't get a response, go to the BBB and make a formal complaint.  they will send notices to him and he has a certian amount of time to respond.  they will handle it from there.  if he does not conform to a settelement, you certainly have every right to take him to court!  how unprofessional!  he drank at your wedding?  my father's company DJed my wedding.  very close friends, and they were courteous enough to leave the liquor until after they had finished!

  5. bad move to pay them that night.... yikes.

You can try to take them to small claims to regain all your money. But I would first write them a letter and state that you plan on suing them for your money and you were extremely dissatisfied with their service.

    I am SO sorry! I can't imagine....

  6. Wow, what a jack@$$. If it were me, I'd see what I could do legally.

  7. Yes, document all the incidents and tell your attorney how upset everyone is about this and how you were treated.  Definitely take this to small claims court.  I'm so sorry to hear about this, what a jerk!

  8. I'm sorry that I don't know the exact answer to your question, but I want to offer some advice anyway.  I think you can sue, but I'm not 100% sure.  In the meantime, get the word out.  Go on every wedding website you can think of and write a review about this guy.  Call the Better Business Buerogh, tell your friends, JUST SPREAD THE WORD.  It sounds like this guy isn't even fit to dj at a middle school dance!

I wish you the best of luck.
