Question:

I had a job interview. Question about calling back?

I had a job interview last month. It was for a call center and it went good. I had a typing test and the woman was very impressed with my typing skills. Anyways, point is- it went good. My availability and hours are fine and the interviewer and myself even had a few laughs.

She said to call back the next week when she was sure of what programs would be hiring, etc.. because the call center has different accounts that hire at different times. All in all, it was a very positive and encouraging interview.

I called back the following week and she was not in her office. I then called back the next day, and she was still unavailable. This time, I left a message stating who I was and that I was told to call back and was checking on the status of my resume. Two days later, still no call back and I was going away for the weekend and was scared I would miss her call. So I called back ANOTHER time, and she was still unavailable.

It's been a couple weeks, yet the job she was hiring for doesn't begin until early September; so probably in a week or so. I was thinking about calling back tomorrow.. But what would I say? And is this a good idea at all?

- Thanks & sorry about the length. I'd love advice.

 1. In my opinion I would call back, one, last final time, because it was her choice to instruct you to call her... If she wasn't interested, she could have very easily told you that she would call you either way (generally speaking they never call back with the not hired information, which really burns me up, but that is beside the point) So, it can't hurt anything, and might even help you land the job! I wish you the best of luck!

 2. There are typical call center interview questions when you apply for the call center interview, and here you will find 5 most common questions and how to crack them. But first a quick overview of the call centers jobs available…

 3. I hear many stories from people who think they had a good interview and "know for sure they will get the job". Try one last time, if they don't return your call, they were playing you like a cello the entire time.

 4. Don't call them..if they don't call you back its 100% sure that they no logner interested with your applicant. Sorry but most of the company will call you and will not stop to call you if they want you. Maybe they found other applicant that has more qualification than you. Sorry if I said it straight but you need to know. Try to apply to another call center company.

 5. The interviewer may keep your resume on hold for a particular process. However it would be better if you keep looking for another job till you get a call from that particular company. If you joined this new company and you still liked the one that you are waiting for, leave this new job and join the one you like.
