I had a miscarriage on 8/12/08 how soon can i start trying again?

I had one on 8/5 and i was seven weeks the dr told me i can start trying straight away but as yet i have had no O so goodnes knows wether i will or not , good luck

My wife and I had a miscarriage in early december.  We didn't mean to get pregnant so soon after wards but we were pregnant again by christmas.  The baby is doing magnificently and is due in a little over 3 weeks.  you are actually most fertile immediately following a pregnancy or miscarriage.  I guess it is recommended not to get pregnant so soon after a miscarriage, mostly because of the emotional element of going through it so soon after such a sad time.

After my ectopic pregnancy my doctor told me to wait 2 cycles to start trying again, my friend who had a miscarriage was told the same thing. I however was too impatient to wait so after I had one period we got pregnant and now have a beautiful 3 year old (and a 1 1/2 year old).

I am sorry  to hear about your miscarriage!  I had one on 8/8/08 and my doctor said that there was no reason why we couldn't start trying right away.  She said that some dr's advise  to have at least one period/cycle, but she saw nothing wrong with trying now.  Good luck!!!

Hi there, I had a miscarriage a while ago and started trying as soon as the bleeding stopped, I ended up getting pregnant 2 weeks later before my next period.. I am now 22 weeks and the baby is happy and healthy and perfect.. I think that as soon as you feel ready and there were no complications with your miscarriage that you can begin trying as soon as you want.. goodluck
