I had a panic attack?

So yesterday I went through my first panic attack. I felt really slow then dizzy, felt like I couldn't breathe or talk. We called 911 and checked everything and said everything was fine it was just a panic attack. After they left I had a huge migraine still saw a little color from the migraine and was completely dizzy and nauseated. Thoese of you who have had a panic attack before what do you do to prevent them, and the next day were you still a little bit shaky? PLEASE only positive answer, I really don't need to hear any more negative things in my life! If you don't have anything nice or positive advice to answer this question! DON'T answer, or I will report you. This is serious to me I felt like I almost lost my life yesterday and Im still traumatized from it, i just need some positive feedback. Thank you all!

  1. Hi Muah, You first have to identify what caused you to panic in the first place.2- You have to go for some form of councelling.  When I have panic attacks, I have to go home IMMEDIATLEY. It's where I feel safe. And to quote Dr. Phil, "you can't change what you don't acknowledge..I suffer from post traumatic stress disorder so I can really empathize with how you feel, especiaaly when your attacks occur in a public place. You should bring someone with you, back to where you had your panic attack (only if you feel up to it) and try to recall what was it that started everything and keep a journal.  Good luck, I know it's not easy

  3. 3 things, hairtie, water bottle, ipod,. as soon as you feel a panic attack coming on start to play around with the hair tie. if you feel like you cant breath drink the water. it will reasurer you that everything in your throat is fine. ipod when you feel like your goonna break down get a nice song stuck in your head and sing it non stop. dont worry ive had panic attacks before where ive stopped eating for days and had to call my grandpa whos a firefighter to come and make sure that my toungue isnt swelling or my throat isnt closing. just clear your mind and maybe talk to a counsler. and never ever let your imagination of your fears overcome you. then it will be all downhill from there
