I had a strange dream and then...?

ok i had a dream tht my dogs color was choking him so i took it off and wen i woke up in the morning his color was off and in my hand...how did this happen cuz normally i dont wake up in the night... what happened?

you probably werent dreaming but you went to sleep right after so then when you woke up it seemed like a dream because you slept on it
