I had a strange dream last night. Can someone interpret it for me?

My boyfriend & I used to have a lot of problems concerning rumors and people talking bad about me and my personality. I was unsure of his reaction towards these rumors, and I had a sick feeling that he believed them. That was the reason we broke up. But, we still love each other & I really want to get back together with him.

So, last night I dreamt that we were fenced in some land area. Within the land area is a shack and a HUGE lake and barely any land between the lake and the fence. Along the lake was some disgusting lime/grease building up, which was utterly disgusting. Me and my ex hung out in the shack and then we decided to leave. As we were carefully walking along the land, i was flirting. lol.

We managed to leave the fenced area in the end though.

What does that mean? and the symbolism of the lake and the slime?

Your hoping he'll see past the rumors and fall for you once more. So: You feel caged in by these rumors, they're holding you back from getting places you want to be. You were fine in the shack for a while, but you wanted to see what else was out there because friendship is never going to be enough for you. You him to LOVE you back. The slime could represent how disgusting and horrid the rumors are, and you just want to stay away from them. Eventually, you just broke through the fence of rumors, and now you're in the gigantic lake, showing that once you get past the rumors and stuff, you can go in any direction you want. And he'll be by your side.

Alright let me take a shot at this:

You are fenced in: so there is a barrier keeping you separated from everything else. So the land and water within the fenced in area could represent how you related to each other. I think the slime could represent all the 'c**p' (for lack of a better term) that came between you. It was disgusting and you don't want to have anything to do with it.

You and your ex finally leave, you do it carefully.

If it were my dream I would take it like this: if you are careful and mindful of what you are doing, and leave all of the 'slime' that got between you and screwed things up behind you, you can maybe make it work.

well here's my guess... sorry if it's not very good. :)

i would say the fence symbolizes the hard part of your relationship and was saying that you two were trapped inside that hard part. the tiny distance between the lake and the fence could've symbolized the fact that those rumors were closing in on you two. was the lake expanding per chance? have you ever had a dream with a smaller lake in it? the disgusting slime/grease would be the rumors in my opinion, that were turning something as beautiful as a lake (your relationship) into something terrible or hard or whatever. the shack could've been the only place you had to stay out of the rumors, your safe haven of sorts. the managing to leave in the end could symbolize you finally getting through it in real life. let's hope so.

Slime : is ppl's rumors/gossip.

water : the the essence of life , which may be contaminated with slime/grease.

The shack : personal confined space .

The land : community space.

The fence: customs and norms that rules & judges the morals & social behavior of thecommunity members .
