I had a strange/unusual nightmare...?

i was laying in bed early in the morning and didnt know i was asleep. i heard my bf's sister in the bathroom in the room next to me through a pretend vent in the floor that connected to the bathroom (it wasnt there). and then i started to see images on the wall and everything was 'uptight' and ringing. all of a sudden i see this terrifying dark knobby thing on a stick in front of my face. it was so scary i think i screamed in the dream and could hear myself along with this intense intense panic. after a breif struggle to wake myself i woke up breathing really hard but i evidently i didnt scream.... have You experienced this?

The dreams likely relates to the abuse you report having received.   Your bf sister could relate to someone in your life that you have a connection to and have been supported  by in the past.  I would also wonder if you have been sexually abused in that, the dark knobby thing could be a p***s.  You simply awakened yourself to escape the situation.

If indeed you have been abused and you continue to have such dreams you might consider talking to a counselor.  Let me know if this is helpful.

My brother had a dream where he was lying in bed and a bunch of demonic faces surrounded him and mocked him, and poked him in the sides with spears.  He woke up terrified.  I've had similar dreams.  This type of dream happens during hypnagogia, a time you are half awake and half asleep; you can see things in the room and things that aren't really there.  For me and my brother, this occurred during very stressful and oppressive times in our lives.
