Any suggestions for home remedies to relieve my pain? I am tired of taking pain meds. They make me loopy.

  1. normally the pain is gone withing 24-48 hours. see your dentist again.


  2. I agree with Philip, you may have a dry socket.  Go to your dentist, he/she will help you out.  Be warned, though, that if it is a dry socket the dentist will scrape the gum to make it bleed so it will heal normally . . . I heard that is PAINFUL.

    Tylenol will help, but not as much as those nasty pain meds.
