I had a virus aka IE Antivirus destroy my hard drive, got rid of the virii, but still can't access anything.

Hi so this is a following up to my previous problem. Had IE antivirus on my computer. i asked for help at YA and was told to use CCleaner and Spybot Search and Destroy. These worked perfectly just that now anything I click on my desktop says the file is missing and asks what program I want to open that file with. I don't know how to get my computer back to normal. I can't even use system restore or use control panel... any advice?? Thanks

If you cannot do a restore, you may need to do a fresh install.  Ideally you are supposed to do a fresh windows install every 6 months to keep it 'clean'.
