I have no boyfriend now and have no interest in a particular guy but I had a dream (it was like an old 80s movie) that it was pouring down rain and i was trying to lock myself inside my house because my boyfriend was trying to kill me. I called a friend (kim) and she came over and just as I was about to scream her name my boyfriend (in my dream) snapped her neck and somehow got into the house. He grabbed me by the feet and I tried to fight back but it didnt work. He swung me against everything and then left me outside in the rain bleeding to death. And as he was leaving I told him I still loved him and I knew he still loved me. The end.

Now I've never been in an abusive relationship whatsoever and I was also blonde in the dream. It was rather strange. I don't know if it means anything or what but your thoughts are appreciated.

  1. Are you strong willed? Competitive? Controlled?

It's raining, which can be sorrow, and you are locking it away? Have you been doing that for a long time?

Could it be that some of these masculine (boyfriend) tendencies are reaping what they sow (beating yourself up much)? Have you tried to present your softer, more feminine (Kim) side, only to get angry or self-protective and fall back into rigid patterns?

We love the character traits that we know, and for you, control seems to be foundational (the feet), but vulnerability (rain/bleeding) may prove more powerful and healing than you can imagine.

  2. Well.

I have had dreams that I had killed one of my girlfriends.

Although, I loved her to death.

    We haven't fought.

But sometimes, your mind will process things when you sleep that you may have thought about earlier. Now of course. It could be possible that you have actually seen a movie like this?  Your mind will make things up vigourisly. You can be a happy person. But have a dream of you on a killing spree. it just shows that a mind as yours is thoughtful. You say you haven't been in a abusive relationship. Maybe you have thought of him hitting you??
