I had an airline tiket which was going to be expired on May 8th.?

My travel agent cancelled it and booked another ticket for May 20. Now the problem is he has charged me 15000 rupees as cancellation charges. This guy is not giving any bill from the airlines. He gave his own bill and says the airline wont give any bill for cancellation. Does any one know????

The Airlines will always give a receipt for the amount they receive. It needs to go to their accounting system. If your agent says there is no airlines receipt, he is probably lying.

Also, 15000 as cancellation fee looks a huge amount unless your ticket is to some faraway foreign destination.

Anyways, please get in touch with the Airlines.

If you have already given the money, ask him to give the documentary proof for the amount. If he refuses contact consumer protection forum.

Don't pay him unless he shows you convincing proof of such charges levied by the airline. Contact the airline independently and seek the procedure/charges etc for such situations.
