I had a baby 2months ago and have been running 2-3miles 4 times a week to shed the weight. I got an ingrown toenail about 2 weeks ago and got it removed last week. I asked the doctor if I could run and he advised me to not run for a little bit because it will put to much pressure on the toe. I was wondering how long do I have to wait until I can start running again? It doesn't hurt anymore, it's not infected and im wearing just a bandade. He didn't cut that much off either, just the little part that was ingrown. It will be a week since having it removed this Wednesday.

  1. It must be pregnancy because I had an ingrown toenail removed when my daughter was 6 weeks old! I had a pedicure because I wanted my feet to look nice at the hospital (I don't know why I felt that was important!) and ended up with a horrible ingrown toenail. I guess it was the way they cut my toenails or something. Anyways, the doctor just cut a small sliver off the side of my toenail. I was told to take it easy for 3 days and not do anything really strenuous for 7 days but then could resume normal activities. Hope this helps!

  2. i was a high school athlete, and had ingrown toenails all the time.  They will be sore for a few days, but after that you should be good to go.  I golfed the same day on a few  occasions.  My doctor told me that if I can stand the pain, it won't hurt any.  Just make sure to watch for infection.  Clean the toe with hydrogen peroxide every time you run.

  3. Ride a bicycle for awhile.
