I had an interesting dream what do dreams mean?

my therapist said that dreams are the unprocessed memory of our everyday lives

From dreams i've had, that makes a lot of sense. a lot of the dreams i have include places that are exactly what i saw that day, to every detail. and if somebody says something in my dream, it sounds exactly like something somebody said to me earlier that day, same voice and octave  and everything.
