i may have to hand in a written notice that i am leaving my current job soon. i was wondering if anyone would have any advice/guidelines or a rough example of a suitable letter of resignation?

  1. Always say how you enjoyed working with them but it was time to move on. (You may need a reference) Say that you are sorry to leave but now the time feels right and the opportunity has arisen. Sounds crawly but better to leave on good terms!

  8. Well congratulations of you have become successful in the position that you went for. I went for short and sweet when i handed in my written notice.

    I am writing to you, to tell you that i am wanting to terminate my contract with.............. starting from the date of .............and ending at.........!! And what ever else you may put.

    I told them first that i would be leaving as i was there for 2 years and thought that was the decent thing to do and then i said that i will be handing in my written notice.
