I took a picture of the front gate and a few orbs were in the photo.I looked into the gate but couldn't see nothing. But then I realized that my hand was on the other side of the gate.My hand was freezing cold.I raised my other hand where it was out of the cemetery and it was warm and hot.I took a picture in the gate where my hand was freezing. Some orbs were in the photo. In the darkness it looks like you can see a hand sticking out. What do yall think? Also in the hotel room when I was asleep my bed started shaking violently.I woke up and no one was up.Iwas awake and it was still shaking!

  1. Let me guess: those pictures were taken at night, with a flash?

There is a very good reason "orbs" only appear in such conditions. They are the reflection from your own flah, lighting airborne dust.

  2. well, I hope you know about orbs... because maybe you think you saw them.  maybe dust was flying outside. But maybe there were orbs.

  3. Savannah is considered one of the most (if not the most) haunted city in America. I'm not saying that what you experienced is definitely paranormal or not, but here are some things to think about.

Orbs are not ghosts, though they are unexplained phenomena (and thus, paranormal). However, be aware that what most people think are "orbs" are either dust or insects. Real orbs manifest as bright lights, and typically don't show up as reflective. Without being able to see the photo, it's difficult to say, but I do know that I've never found orbs in the same place as high EMF (electromagnetic field) levels which may actually cause pockets of cold or hot air that don't move.

The hand could be pareidolia, also called "matrixing" because it's the eye's natural tendency to pick out shapes from light-and-shadow combinations. However, without being able to see the photo, it's a tough call.

The bed shaking... there are lots of possible normal explanations for that, from a dryer or other machinery (such as an air conditioner) to seismic activity, or even the effect of wind.

This isn't to discount that something paranormal could have occurred, but there are too many other explanations and not enough actual data in order to be able to say solidly that there's anything paranormal to what you're reporting.

  4. Georgia is a old state,my mother was born on a old plantation house in Georgia and she use to see slaves that had die. You wil lbe amaze what you can see in some of our states

  5. As a Georgia native( I live within 2 hours of Savannah) I think it would be easier to ask, where in Savannah IS NOT haunted or has some paranormal activity associated with it.  It is a very old city and has a lot of history in it.

Colonial Park Cemetery is just one of those areas.  For example, when Sherman marched through Ga during the Civil War, a good many troops took up residence at the cemetery.  It was very cold at the time and there were (and still are) vaults built above ground.  They dug into the vaults, dumped out the bodies and used them for shelter.  There was also graverobbing that went on as well.  On the back wall, there are many tombstones attached on the wall, where the soldiers threw the markers around and the place that they belonged was never found afterward.  It is very possible to get many good pictures, evps and video from that location.

Savannah is a beautiful place.  It is great to go and learn the history, and you might run into a little activity along the way.  And don't be shy about asking the locals about the ghost.  They feel the same about the ghost as we in the south feel about our crazy people...we don't hide them away, we put them right out front for all to know and love.
