My question was " Is Coca Cola suitable for vegetarian? "

I think this delayed for reply is not fair, its really careless behavior with customer. Do you have the answer? OR guide me to get quick answer. Please.

  1. There are no meat products in any juices, or fizzy drinks. Maybe they didn't take your Q seriously and thought it was some kid playing around. I'm not a vegan but would not want to drink anything with meat products in my drinks anyway, that would be yukky.

  2. they don't want to tell you that Coca Cola is bad for everyone.

they contain animal extracts, is that what you are asking......

  3. This is not such a silly question, as one of Coca Cola's products 'Fanta' contains fish gelatine. However Coke itself is ok.

  4. If people are diehard veggies, they should avoid all products containing "natural flavors".   Just google it -- they almost always contain animal products, but the FDA doesn't require companies to list what's in them.

Coca Cola probably expects people to know this from the ingredient list.  It's not their job to define diets to those who are supposedly on them!

  5. Why not call them? If you need a better answer.

But, I think there is nothing in Coke that is made from animals.  "Coca-Cola contains carbonated water, phosphoric acid, high fructose corn syrup (sugar), caramel color, natural flavors, and caffeine."

  6. It is definitely vegetarian in the UK, not sure if the formula is different in the US (or wherever you are).

Having said that, personally I give a wide berth to anything that lists ambigous terms such as 'natural flavourings' in the ingredients - it usually means animal derived

  7. Everyone aught to not by coke this week in protest.  Consumers must stick together.  I have never heard of such poor customer service from a mega company.  I don't drink Coke and the only Coke product I enjoy is Hi C and rarely purchase that.

  8. These kind of answers should be found on their website. I would say vegitarian - yes, vegan - not sure!

  9. the Coca Cola company receives thousands of inquiries and letters a day. Yours is not anymore important than those who wrote ahead of you. Wait your turn

  10. I'm sure that they aren't just ignoring your email.  Its a HUGE company, and they probably (if not definitely) have other things to do.

I recently saw that Coke has this advertising thing going on for the Olympic Games.  -It's covering all countries in the world stating "Coca Cola" in different languages on the red can.  -Maybe that's the hold up?!  Give it some more time, if you don't hear back, google the question.  I'm sure someone has an answer.

  11. omg, i can't believe you asked that LOL

yes it's suitable for a vegetarian

  12. Coca-Cola contains carbonated water, phosphoric acid, high fructose corn syrup (sugar), caramel color, natural flavors, and caffeine.

I see no beef, chicken, pork, lamb, venison, duck, turkey, elk, moose, etc, in this list of ingrients,

therefore.. I see no meat, I see no problem.

And to answer your question on why they have not answered.. I'm sorry, I'm sure they thought the question was junk/spam mail and didn't bother to answer. Although inconsiderate, they do have a lot to worry about, being one of the top soda companies in the world and everything :)

  13. they probly though you where being dumb...

i mean its a drink full of sugar not meat

  14. You will pardon the delay, the person who answers such questions at the Coca Cola Corporation is on vacation, and will answer your question and the 9 million others when he returns.  Each question will be answered in turn.

Basically, you are asking them about the proprietary Coca Cola flavoring formula.  I doubt that they will answer any questions about it, because the formula is priceless, an empire is founded on it.

I have seen symbols on Coca Cola during certain times of the year to indicate that it was Kosher.  I doubt they reformulate it for passover, so for what that is worth...

  15. Being a vegetarian means you don't eat meat.

Coca-Cola is not a meat product.

So yes, Vegetarians can drink Coca-Cola..

  16. Thats because your question is stupid and they have scanned your letter and it is currently doing the rounds on email to every employee in the office and they are laughing at you!

  17. There are no meat products or meat by-products in Coca~Cola.

That said ... Coca~Cola, like all sodas, is very bad for your health. If you're so concerned about your well-being that you've decided to not consume meat products, you should think twice about sodas and other artificially-flavoured sugar-based products.

  18. Why are people such a******s when responding to some vegetarian questions?  Just because Coke doesn't contain a hunk of meat doesn't necessarily mean it's suitable for strict vegetarians.  There could be questions regarding the refining of sugar or the color.  If you click on the link I provided, you can read a letter from the Coca Cola company regarding European Coke containing a fish product.

A company like Coca Cola should respond to your inquiry in a timely manner.  I would assume maybe your letter did not get to the right place.  In answer to your question, Coke in the U.S., if you are in the U.S., is vegetarian and vegan.

  19. i think u confused them wid the question

    very good

    a star for u pal

  20. did you recieve confirmation that your inquire was recieved?

  21. Coca-cola is OK for a vegetarian, there are no animal products, or by-products, for that matter. Enjoy a cold one, and good luck.

  22. I CANT REMEMEBR THE LAST TIME I HAD MEAT IN MY DRINK
