they found me guilty and i paid a fine and did 2 days in jail but got credit so didnt have to go to jail..

i called my ex again and wanted to say happy b day..she called the cops on me..again..could they come for me even thought the court found me guilty and i am still paying my fine. i still ow about 500 dollars.

i called her about 7 times within a two week period. my question is could the cops come get me...please no rude remarks..only honesty..or would she have to open another case up on me..or since they just found me guilty 2 weeks ago. my case was recently closed as far as my judgement but i still owe money and so i think its open..tell me what are the chances of me being picked up..???hurry i am scared. i regret calling just to say happy bday.

  1. Whether or not the police would arrest you would depends on the conditions of your release: if there is a "no contact" order, or something to that effect, in place.

If there isn't such an order in effect, it would be very easy for her to file a new complaint with the police. Being that she's done it once, and you were convicted, I don't think she'd have many doubts about filing a new complaint.

Since you already have a conviction, you wouldn't get off as lightly as you did the first time if there was a second round of charges.

  2. Are you goofy? If she filed charges once, she DOESN'T want to hear from you! Get over her, pay your fine and move on. Don't call her again for ANY reason.

    Good luck man

  3. Dude, just stop calling her. She obviously needs some space AND she could probably open a NEW harassment case against you.

  4. You called seven times in two weeks to wish her a happy birthday when there is a restraining order in place, of course the police will pick you up if they have time. And sooner or later they will have time.

You are in trouble and prepare to spend some time in jail.

Regrets don't work when you have called seven times!  A restraining order was issued for good reason.

  5. I'm glad you regret calling her, maybe you won't do it again. If she actually had to open a case against you, then you must have been pretty bad. Don't call her again. Not for her birthday, not for Christmas, not even if you win the freakin lottery and want to send her a few million. Other than paying her money back, forget she exists. I feel no sympathy for you. They should have left you in jail longer, I don't think those 2 days did you any good.

  6. My guess is yes - you are continuing in harassment behavior.  She can take out a restraining order and file additional charges on you.

Here's a hint: QUIT calling her - you are acting like a stalker.
