the scar is I have a hernia. All day long it has been burning. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

  1. The burning pain is likely due to your "incisional (or ventral) hernia". An incisional hernia is represented by the escape of organs from their physiologic position through an area of weakness in the surgical scar. Basically, a chronic wound failure. You will need to have this repaired to resolve you symptoms. There are risks associated with not doing so, as well, such as "strangulation".
