I had gotten a fedora 8 livecd. but after the usual boot it does nothing?

i had gotten a fedora livecd, fedora 8 livecd that is. but the live cd after the usual boot does absolutely nothing. ie: the normal password entry stuff. but the problem now is that the password is what i dont have.

and yet on the internet the password does not exist, so the livecd, sometimes gets me worked up. help

Try root as user and root as password

I might be wrong but there is probably no password to use on a live GNU/linux distribution.

If your live CD just doesn't boot, try to launch it with the no apci option.

Or try Ubuntu instead, it's a good distribution as well.
