  1. You made a mistake that is all. You are new at driving and maybe hit the accelerator instead of the brakes. You need to practise more not less. This accident might make you nervous so you should go out with maybe your husband and get your confidence back and drive more slowly next time!! Driving is the best freedom you can have, and dont give it up.

  2. well, you can worry about the cost of fixing things, but if you're willing to learn, you should be able to drive, in time, as long as you don't have extra baggage (oh, I'm afraid of hurting people.. or oh, I'm afraid of wrecking another car.. etc) in your brain. driving cars is a little more advance and complicated compared to riding a bicycle, but it's the same concept :) the difference would be the width of the road you're using plus the size of vehicle you're on... that's all...

practice in a secluded place, if you can find a wide open place with no car at all that's the best place. there's an alternative, go to an arcade and play those car racing games, try to never hit anything at all, it helped me.

  3. believe me you have made a beginning.. dont quit! Na.. never.. i tell you, you wouldn hit the pole once again. When i started driving i took the entire garage and later once the water pipeline with me.. my dad was furious and said never to touch teh car again! I still touched... Today i drive all verhicles from mini to heavy.. n have my dad sitting bk n falling asleep ( u dare to fall asleep, when u feel secure - he says!!). No self praise.. wat i mean is.. go ahead.. try again ,,, and again.. You can learn to walk only, when you tumble and fall... same things.. Its all abt life dear.. Dotn compromise.. Go ahead.. get teh keys... :)

  4. Don't worry about it, anyone who says they've never had an accident is either a liar or they only drive 1 mile a year! One thing no driving school can teach is EXPERIENCE you only get that by driving more and more, so keep at it. Look at it this way, if a baby was learning to walk and fell over and banged its head, would you expect the parents to say pack it in and just crawl everywhere?

    Just stick at it

  5. Everyone makes mistakes.  Few people will go a lifetime without getting into some sort of car accident.  Don't question yourself, have confidence and you will be fine.  The more confidence you have when driving, the better you'll do.  Just don't do anything reckless or careless and you'll be fine.  Think of the hundreds of millions of people that drive cars....  If they can do it, you can too.

  6. Practice in a go cart. But don't quit driving.

  7. yes, please for the sake of us all, QUIT DRIVING

  8. Lets get things straight, driving is an art, you either can or not....simple....

Anyone on the day with a bit of luck can pass a test....especially an American one....lol

  9. not sure what joint famly is. but you have to take your time and breathe deeply and drive dont' quit . yes it takes time to learn and be good at it but you will andjust learn to watch and listen to what is going on keep the raido off till you are sure of yourself. take care and good luck

  10. accidents happen but for now, maybe quit driving?.. just to cool things off. when you are ready, you get back on track

  11. Do u really need to drive? If you're not good at it, then it's better NOT TO drive because it will endanger your life and also put innocent people's lives at risk. Do everyone a favour.

  12. Mentally prepare for driving. If you are distracted, upset, or unusually tired and sleepy, do not drive.

Learn to recognise dangerous road conditions, such as black ice, large potholes, and pools of deep water accumulating in low places.

Always watch where you are going, and be aware of potential hazards in your lane, like debris or cargo dropped from a vehicle ahead of you.

Reduce your speed when you make a turn to the other road.

Avoid driving at peak traffic hours when possible, and use side streets when the major traffic arteries are full.

Keep your temper when other drivers are less than courteous, or act dangerously. Give them room, and stay out of their way, rather than returning aggression or acting a hostile way.

Plan your maneuvers to accomodate other drivers. Never pass someone, only to apply breaks to turn or slow to look for your street. Patience is a valuable asset to safe driving.

  13. Dear, let this be an experience for you and drive carefully next time. You must analyze your mistake and learn from it. There is absolutely no need to quit, accidents happen. You must be short of confidence after this incident, so try to regain it. Get to know and love your vehicle if you already haven't done that. Lastly, thank God that you didn't hurt any one and move along.

  14. I think u should drive carefully ...not stop driving.

  15. Drivers should stay off the road if they can't handle something as simple as driving a car. Immigrants especially need extra practice.

  16. do NOT quit driving at all! just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you should just stop..you should learn from it. start out slowly and get used to driving the new car. it always takes time. just think about your future--it would definitely be hard to live a life without driving. you wouldn't want to ask everyone to drive you places, do you? if you quit, it takes away some of your freedom.

    goodluck with driving!

  17. No, accidents happen all the time.

It was practice, it wasn't on purpose.

Try going to an open parking lot, and getting

it down, and then to the street.

    Practice makes perfect

  18. If you quit, you'll never become a good driver.

It's fine if you live in an area with good public transportations(buses, trains, etc.)  If you always have other means of travelling, then it's okay not to drive.

If not, you need more practice.  A lot of people that you see driving on the street have hit something before.  I'm sure you've seen cars with dents around somewhere.

Those people are still driving, and it usually takes them longer til the next dent shows up.  You'll only improve by driving more not less.

Practice more, be more careful and you should be okay.
