  1. My scan was exactly the same. As long as there is a regular heartbeat, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

  2. As long as that heart was beating good, then do not worry about the movement right now.  Trust me it will start moving and you are right, it may not have been active at that moment.  You will be amazed at the amount of change between sonograms.  I always try to drink a coke before a sonogram.  So far it works for me (pregnant with 3rd child).  Again, that heartbeat is a great indicator at this point.  Good luck to  you!

  3. My baby was asleep at my scan when i was 11 weeks. I had the same worries as you, Im sure you'll be fine, Just wait for the 22 week scan! My baby was rolling all over the place the second scan.

  4. They sleep something ridiculous like 85% of the time.  When we went for our 13 week scan, the little one just sat there for ages and then suddenly started bucking. It was really sweet.  i wouldn't worry, it was probably just resting!

  5. The baby may have been resting.  You will notice as you get father along that the baby is less active when you are movng around but starts to move shortly after you settle down.  That is because your moving around has a rocking effect on the baby.  As much as you want to see the baby kicking around and being active, its not always the case when you get an ultrasound.

  6. Could have been asleep, try drinking some caffeine before hand that always does the trick.

  7. Babies sleep a lot.

  8. As long as there was a heartbeat, you shouldn't worry.  The sonographer would have been concerned of there was any need. Maybe baby was asleep!  I don't remember any of mine moving alot at that stage in the scan. relax and enjoy your pregnancy!  x

  9.      Babies do sleep sometimes, so they aren't always moving, even in the womb.  They're busy growing!  I'm sure if the dr. or tech said there was a heartbeat, they heard it.  It's a shame they didn't let you hear it.  Tell them next time you'd like to hear the heartbeat.  Best of luck with your baby!

  10. I had a 10 week ultrasound and my friend (of 4 healthy babies) told me to drink a soda before going in. That way the baby gets a little caffeine and moves around. It worked. Although I don't advise drinking caffeine and did it that one time. He/She was probably just sleeping =)

  11. Awwww no don't worry. Mine didn't move much either at the 9/10 week stage. They are barely fetuses at that point.  Congrats on your pregnancy.

  12. Could well have been asleep, if the heart was beating and the radiologist wasn't concerned, this is probably the case.

This baby was asleep during the first scan, and only moved once, because it was fed up of being prodded and being squashed against his mum's full bladder I should imagine.

Please don't worry, all sounds very good and healthy!  I bet you enjoyed seeing the baby - congratulations.

  13. They aren't really worried about movement at this stage because there is no real way of monitoring it until you can feel it but the heartbeat being strong is most important. I'd say everything was just fine!

  14. ya, probably sleeping! Don't worry! the doctor would have told you if there was a problem. Just relish in the wonderment that is life and keep positive thoughts about your unborn child's health! Good luck, wish you all the best!

  15. Every pregnancy is different.

My daughter didn't move much until about 23 weeks, whereas my son seemed like he was breakdancing from the start.

If there had been any cause for concern, I'm sure the person conducting the scan would have told you.

    Good luck.

  16. sounds completley normal

  17. I had an ultrasound at 11 weeks and my baby did not move either. The doctor was even trying to make her move! She must've been in a deep sleep. I was worried that something was wrong. The heartbeat was not taken during this scan-- it was taken at my 16 week appt with some kind of doppler device.

But then at my 18 week ultrasound, she was so active! The doctor was getting frustrated because she kept moving and he said she was as active as babies can get. :-)

    Don't worry!

  18. Im sure its fine they would have told you if there was something wrong

    Great news and congrats x
