I had to have 10 injections on my bottom jaw to extract one tooth and cut the gum to reveal my canines. The top jaw socket where the tooth was extracted is OK, but my bottom socket is killing me! The doctor gave me some gauze which is slightly helping but my mouth is filled with saliva and blood and i have no idea what to do!!

Thanks a million for your help,

    hope it  helps  b

  4. I would call your dentist and tell him you need something for pain. If he is unwilling to do so, go to the trauma center, and tell them your delimia,  Most times after doctors there see the situation they will give you pain meds.

  5. He should have given you something for the pain. Try taking 4 advil, which is prescription strength. Advil can do wonders, but if not ask him to prescribe something stronger.

  6. meds for pain reliever will ease. i assume ur extraction in the lower jaw was some sort of "impacted tooth" and canines are but a "stubborn" tooth. it shouldn't be bleeding that much as of this time, the gauze should keep it stable. if there is too much bleeding, u can bite a teabag (tannic will do the action). just make sure to keep the extraction site as clean as possible. gargle with antibacterial whenever needed or after eating. gargle with warm water with salt can be soothing. avoid rigorous spitting, allow the clotting action. maybe a liquid diet and avoid excursion for now. slight swelling maybe evident.

well, its definitely an uncomfortable feeling but ull be fine... just follow the dentist instructions!:)
