I gained 30 lbs all together and I know exactly why I eat horrible and too much. And it does not help when you have people telling you that you look great or my favorite you are so tiny it is because I gain weight in my legs and butt so to other people they think I am tiny, because you can see it in my face back or arms. My husband though calls me belly he says that’s all I am but not according to the scale. My question is it too late I want to start walking and watching g(caring about what I eat) Do you guys think I maybe gain no more than 12 more lbs in the next 15 weeks I know your not nationalist but what is your opinion

  1. I started out small but not underweight...I have gained 17 lbs in 24 weeks.  My dr hasn't said anything about it.  It's never too late to start walking, just take a water bottle, and stop for a minute if you start to get crampy.

  2. It is ok 2 gain wait i was like u during my pregancy i had done a lot of wait almost 200 pounds n den after da baby it wasnt dere ne more

  3. I would just put it into a logical perspective. Your babies stomach is how big when he/she is born? If you filled that stomach with food then that's how much you should eat extra from your original meal plan.

  4. well it depends on your weight before pregnancy if you were under you need to gain more. My wife was 98 lbs before our first pregnancy and she gained 60 and the dr said it was okay and she lost all of it after she had him. You can walk and swim and watch what you eat but you can still gain weight and do that and if the dr isn't worried to much then I wouldnt worry to much.

  5. it is never too late to start eating healthy or begin a light exercise routine during your pregnancy.  If you admit that your current diet is horrible and you eat way too much, then start by cutting out the junk food, sugars (including drinks) and refined carbs.  start eating more veggies and fruits (try staying away from the really sugary ones though) lean meats and drink plenty of water.  It's better for you while your pregnant and while you aren't pregnant.  If you're not used to exercising, start with a nice daily walk.  I hate using my treadmill, so my husband and I take a 2 mile stroll at least twice a week.  he's been really supportive and it's a great time to chat and bond.  With regard to the weight gain in your final 15 weeks, you can totally do 12 pounds...you can even target 1/2 pound a week if you want to.  I ate like crazy in the beginning - gained 8 pounds in my 1st trimester....then it started to taper off.  I started swimming during my second trimester and I just don't have much room in my belly for big meals anymore.  I'm 33 weeks now and in the last 3 weeks, I've only gained 1 pound - my total weight gain so far is 24 pounds.  Of course you will gain weight and it's easy to say - I'll worry about losing it after the baby is born, but the more you gain, the harder it is to lose...so try your best to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  it's best for you and your baby.  good luck.

  6. Dont worry too much about it. Everyone looks at me and asks if ive even gained any weight too lol ive actually gained about 45 :( alot of it is extra fluid and my b***s went up about a cup and a half. most of my fat goes to my legs and butt too so its hard for other people to tell ive gained weight. Im not really happy that ive gained 45 pounds but ive ate very healthy things during this pregnancy so i dont feel bad about it at all

  7. If you walk and eat sensible, but keep your calories up for the baby.  You should be ok.  Don't diet or over exert yourself in excercise.  That can be very dangerous.  Talk to your doctor and ask their opinion.  But woman gain weight during pregnancy.  And you just hope you can take it off after the baby is born.  But don't deny yourself or your baby food and nutrition.

  8. I am 28 weeks and I have gained about 30 pounds. The weight is all in my belly, well... maybe my butt got a bit bigger but that is it. My doctor told me at my 20 week check up that was gaining too much weight but before I got pregnant I was 125 lbs so she said I can afford to gain more than average. This is my 2nd baby and my first weighed almost 9 lbs so maybe your just having a big baby. I wouldn't worry, just eat healthy and take care of yourself and that precious baby!

  9. I was fairly small when I got pregnant with both my children (126 with first one 130 with second). I gained over 50 lbs with both of them, but shed the pounds pretty quickly after their births. If you feel you are gaining too much weight and want to start doing something about it, that is up to you. Don't starve yourself because that in turn starves your baby. Don't do too much exercise as this can induce ealy labor. If you are worried, just start walking a little every night. This will help with blood flow and also help keep unnecessary pounds from developing that will be hard to get rid of in the future. I was a waitress when I was pregnant with both my children so I was walking constantly and still gained that much weight, so sometimes it is uncontrollable. The weight you gain also reflects the size of baby you are going to have. My children were 8 lbs and 8 lbs 6 oz at birth, so you have to take into consideration the weight of the baby, then the fluid, the placenta, the extra skin, your swelling b*****s, etc. All this will contribute to your weight.
