As a result i have really bad acid reflux. It is really painful. I got a prescription from the pharmacy but it makes it worse...is there any natural remedies besides dieting?

  1. You had your gallbladder taken out because of your poor diet.  The liver has to take over the funciton of the gallbladder, but it does take a little bit of time for that to happen.  If you don't change your diet, you will still have problems, just more of them.  Acid reflux is one, which will turn into GERD (same disease, just more severe).  High cholesterol is another. Then high blood pressure and follow that with heart disease.  You also might develop adult onset diabetes, but that isn't related to having your gallbladder out, just your poor diet.  If you want to be healthy, then just make the changes necessary in your diet.  Or, you can continue to pay the doctor and pharmacy tons of money and still be miserable.
