  1. Try using Bactine...the same stuff people use to clean newly pierced ears. It'll help dry up the area a little and alleviate some of the puss.

  2. The weeping could be a sign of early infection. If this continues, consult your doctor and ask for advice and any cure to stop and clear it up :)

  3. If by weeping/pussing you mean it still has a clearish white discharge to it (lymph) then yes it's normal. Navel piercings can take upto a year to heal and that long until the discharge goes away. Just keep up on your sea salt soaks and you should be fine.

  4. No it shouldn't. Sounds to me like you have an infection. Make sure that you are cleaning it properly, not playing with it excessively, and wear pants that won't rub and irritate it.

  5. no it should'nt be at all i would go get it checked and now.do you use anything on it

  6. probably not... are u fiddling with it a lot? try using a spray antiseptic, it worked wonders for mine! just spray loads on, wipe it dry and leave it. don't change the stud or fiddle until it has stopped!

  7. This doesn't sound normal, have you been looking after it by washing it with medicated soap and salt water?

I was told to do these things when I got it done, and I didn't get any infections and it is still fine months after.

I would say it is just infected, so make sure you clean it gently and don't touch it unless you are cleaning it.

If it doesn't get any better, then I suggest you go back to where you got it pierced and ask for some advice.

  8. If you feel it's not normal then go back to your piercer, and have them take a look at it. Also heres some products that you should use on your piercing, and shouldn't use.

    Acceptable Healing Aids and Products

Tea Tree Oil - This soothing liquid cools and refreshes an irritated piercing. Use only high quality tea tree oil that has been diluted with distilled water.

Emu Oil - A universal healing product that has been discovered to also produce exceptional results when healing a piercing.

H2Ocean - Although some would call it "glorified saline solution," most do report excellent healing results with this product.

Saline Solution - Less expensive and more readily available than most other products, saline solution is very effective in soothing and healing a new piercing. It's also an acceptable substitute for sea salt soaks.

    Do NOT Use:

Hydrogen Peroxide - Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria, but it also kills the white blood cells attempting to heal your piercing. It can cause irritation and lengthen overall healing time.

Rubbing Alcohol - Alcohol will dry the skin and irritate the raw piercing, which could actually lead to infection.

Glyoxide - This is a product that contains hydrogen peroxide and hinders healing rather than aiding it.

Ear Care Solution - Solutions that are provided by jewelry boutiques and department store piercers usually contain alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and other harmful chemicals that only aggravate a new piercing.

Ointments - Antibacterial ointments or similar products only clog pores and/or kill good cells trying to heal the piercing.

  9. thats disgusting.

  10. no definitely not you should go to the doctor and check it out

  11. That sounds nasty, I'm sorry that's happening. Have you been using the cleaner? Use it if you haven't and if you have go back to where you got it pierced to make sure it isn't infected.

  12. that's revolting.......why would u do that to urself?

  13. No it shouldn't .....

  14. I would also check if I am allergic to any of the metals that are used in the stubs... Nickle can be one of them and lots of people have that allergy and not even know it.
