  1. Two of my shafts (driver & 3-wood) broke right down the middle in a golf match (I got a little angry after a shot). I used my dad's driver as a sub (but didn't put in a club to replace the 3-wood) for the rest of the round.

  2. I have never heard of that ever happening , what brand of equipment was it ?

  3. so after you hit the ball, you were holding onto the grip and there was no shaft/rest of the club? if thats so that is pretty wierd, ive never seen that or heard of that happening. If i had to guess i would say bad grip tape or maybe water got under the grip and loosened the tape.

  4. Strange ....yep.  But I have also seen shafts that have broken inside the grip also.......who knows   lol

  5. lol

  6. bad luck lol.  did you go swimming for the club....as much as mine cost i would have

  7. Like "h" said, it might be that the tape was old or that water got under the grips.  It all depends.  If you recently had them re-gripped, then maybe whoever did the job used Naphtal (the fluid used when re gripping clubs) that was expired or possilbly forgot to use it at all.  This is all hypothetical, but it's a possibility.  It is strange that this happened though.  Being a caddie for 7 years, I've never heard of anything like this happening before.
