I had an appt with my dr 4 weeks ago and she said everything looks good. But Im still in soo much pain! I'm going to go my dr again because I dont think I should still be in pain. I was wondering if this is normal. I'm ready to have s*x with my husband already!!! Has anyone else experience this? Shouldnt I be healed by now?

  1. it depends...did youhave a cesearean? if so then you are still healing and therefore still be in some pain..otherwise you shouldnt be in any pain by now with a vaginal birth....as for healing its takes much longer for you body to totally heal after having a baby..doesnt meanyou should be in pain though...if your stil in pain s*x is a BAD idea go to the doctor to be checked again and tell them whats going on

  2. I have never heard of anyone being in pain that long.  I would ask the doctor.  Even major surgery will heal after 6 weeks for the most part.  If you seen the doc 4 weeks ago, things might have been fine for then but not 4 weeks later.   See your doctor.

  3. Do you have ANY idea what kind of trauma we put our bodies through having kids?  My younger daughter is 6 and I still can't sneeze without wetting my pants.  You heal at the rate you heal.  I wouldn't rush into having s*x if I were you.  If you doctor says you're doing well, you're doing well, but we all have our own healing curves.  And how it looks is not necessarily how it feels.

If you're really concerned that your doctor might be missing something, seek another doctor for a second opinion.

What kind of pain are you having?

    EDIT:

I'm so sorry, but I have to disagree with Ronda.  I had c-sections both times and I found it takes a long time to really recover.  My first was particularly traumatic to my body; it took me months to be myself again.  I wouldn't have mentioned this, but I had a bad experience one time with trying to get a male professor to understand how my pregnancy was impacting my academic performance, and I made the mistake of suggesting he ask his wife.  Well, her experience was much, much different from mine and she convinced him I could meet every one of his requirements.

    Every person is different.
