O.k., i'm 11 and I had my first period last night.

I went to the bathroom, when I noticed I forgot to put on underwear. I peed anyway, and when I was about to flush, I noticed It was a brickish color. I looked in my pants and it was a big bloody mark.

I didn't tell my mom last night, and I'm too scared to tell anyone. I don't know how to tell her, or what to do. Please help!

BTW:

this is a shared account, though I use it the most. My sis wrote one question, so don't tell me I'm lying about this. I am getting spacers today :(.

  1. Oh gosh... I got my first period when I was 11 too. But you just need to straight up tell her, because she will understand how much of a huge thing it is for you. I did just that and my mum was so great about it (luckily I didn't have to ask her about too much because of health studies at school.).

  2. i  would just 1st take a bath and put on a fresh pad or tampon then talk to your mom about becoming a woman and growing up and all that stuff.that's what mom's are for

  3. u shouldn't be scared to tell ur mom every women go through it and most likely she will think its cute. go to her and say mom can i talk to you and tell her i started my period try not to be afraid good luck

  4. Ask her if you two can talk alone, and tell her. It's nothing to be scared or ashamed about, it's perfectly normal.

  5. your mom will understand. she had to tell her mom once too. just tell her that you think you started your period. and you need pads. your mom will probably be excited. i remember feeling just a little embarrassed too. but don't be. it's silly to be. you are a woman now! :)

  6. Well done welcome to womanhood!!!!

  7. Why are you afraid? don't you think that once upon a time your mother experienced the same thing? She is a girl, and she was young once and she went through the same thing you are. Just tell her, it's all part of growing up. Congratulations and Good Luck.

  8. just tell her,it really isnt a big deal,it will feel like it though at your age, after you tell her you wont no why you worried, just say mom,i started my period, can you get me some pads from the shop please, that way its casual ,instead of sitting her down etc!
