I had my first root canal done on Monday?

I had it done on Monday just the first part where he takes out the nerves. I didnt have to much pain but did run a low grade fever for a day after. Then today I wake up and my tooth is hurting so bad. Not unbearable but enough to annoy me all day. The dentist is closed today so I am waiting till tommorow to go but just wanted some advice.

Do you think this is normal and it will stop hurting or do you think there is nerve left that they didnt get out? Do you think its an infection? The dentist said it wasnt affected or anything just bad decay on a back molar. I would have pulled it but he begged me not to.

Any advice if you have had this happen?

Your mouth will hurt for a couple of days. If it keeps hurting call him, because a fever is a sign of infection. Hopefully he gave you some pain pills to help.
