I had my maxtor one

Question

i had my maxtor one touch 4 750 gb external hard drive installed on a dell laptop with windows xp i plugged it into a mac and installed it but couldnt get it to work so i plugged it back into my laptop and plugged another hard drive in as well and the downloaded a bunch of music and videos from the other to mine. i then safely unplugged both from my computer. the next day i went to plug it back in to download some more stuff and i couldnt get it to register that it was plugged in. nothing pops up and my maxtor folder is saying that no device is hooked up. the other hard drive on the other hand came up just fine. the light on the front of my maxtor wont stop blinking. any ideas.
