I had my test for citizenship today, how long will it take to get an appoinment for the next procedure (oath)?

date of interview is 03/18/2008 and passed the test.

  1. In most countries this follows within 4-6 weeks, depending on the workload of the governments outposts handling the ceremonies.


  2. you usually know the same day. my ex from the time he took the test to oath was a few months not an appt. but a ceremony in most cases. you go in with many others, it could be a court house a school, an auditorium, and you take the oath at once. you then exchange your green card for citizenship papers.

    as for the other question it can take almost a year it did for my ex husband. from app to oath.

  3. they should have offered it to you the same day.

    My cousin did her citizenship last week and they told her to come to the oath at 2 in the afternoon, same day.

    Did they offered you that option? or did they say wait for the Ceremony letter to come?
