I want to know exactly what "clamped" tubal is. I regret ever getting it done. I was a single parent and i was 23 years old. Now i have met the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with and he really wants a child of our own. So i want to know if it can be reversed.

  1. I believe that if the tubes were tied then there is a good chance it can be reversed, however if they were cut then it's less of a chance. Ask your GP it will be easier to get a realistic answer, good luck!

  2. Usually it can be reversed depending on the method. I'm assuming that since you were only 23 they would do a reversible method.  Usually "clamping" your tubes means burning the middle of it so it is cinched and no eggs can get through.  To reverse it they will have to cut out the burned or "clamped" part and reconnect the ends.  You will have to talk to your doctor to find out the actual detail.  Just be aware that getting it reversed will require a surgery that may be a little more invasive then the original one.  Good luck!

  3. well i know tied is permanet. But clamped sounds like they could easily unclamp it. Im just wondering how you got it done without knowing exactly what it is? anyways, look it up, and talk to your doctor, it does sound like it could be fixed though. best wishes!
