I had pink eye last week and now i have it again, why?

i had pink eye last week on monday until about thursday

now i have it again but it isnt as severe.

i have been wearing my contacts and my make-up since i stopped having symptoms of pink eye.

but i woke up this morning and the same eye was red again, it isn't itchy or swollen.

on saturday i have my school's prom. and i am getting my makeup done by bobbi brown. i need to get my makeup done.

what should i do??

Pink eye is highly contagious; therefore, you probably infected yourself again with your contacts & makeup.  You should purchase new makeup - quit using your "old" makeup RIGHT AWAY, if you want this to clear up ASAP.

If you haven't yet visited a Dr., I'd advise you to, then explain your circumstances with him / her.  He / she should provide you with the best possible healing method for you.

Placing contacts you wore during the infection could be reason for reinfection. Same is true with eyelash colour- you were in touch with bacteria if you applied make-up during the infection.

Use your medication as prescribed. Toss old contacts out and give your eyes few day rest from contacts. Do not sleep with your contacts in. Always wash your hands well before touching your eyes.

If you use the same contacts and makeup you can infect yourself again. I would recommend you use new contacts and eye makeup.
