I am sure Shankste is correct. I played with it on the Old Course this morning in a gale and it really worked well. Certainly worth every penny!

  1. shafts can certainly cost alot. im pretty sure tiger uses like an $800 graffaloy prototype shaft

  2. Ok I am not a good golfer, but it just makes sense to shop around and compare prices on your repair, before you feel that your over charged. Its called a good consumer!!! But most men don't want to take the time to get the best price and just pay whatever the bill is and be done with it!!!

  3. Those scotts seen you comin!

  4. What kind of graphite shaft did you replace it with?  The shaft is what cost the most, the labor was not that much.

  5. The problem is that most people just don't realise how much difference certain shafts make to a person's game.  If £50 makes you strike the ball better and get improved results then its worthwhile.

You can spend £300 on a driver and still hit a frying pan better.  Thats the way golf is !

  6. I would say that the shaft was priced right. My shaft for the Fti i bought (Penley, Caliente x-stiff) was $120USD. With the conversion, id say you got a good deal.

Another thought is that items always cost more at the event. Have you ever bought food at a major sporting event? St. Andrews is the most known golf course around the world. So i'd bet if you bought the shaft elsewhere it would have been cheaper.

  7. Aldila NV costs about $80 USD, even some costs more around $180 USD.

  8. you paid a lot becouse of where you had it done

  9. not alot of money some of the shafts on the tour players drivers are worth a grand .-thats alot
