I had the wierdest dream the other night... ?

It was so wierd. I was at a BBQ with friends but these friends included old school friends, old college friends and ex boyfriends. And they all got on well with each other (and they have never met each other in real life) and laughing with each other and i was looking upon them all thinking this is fun...

I woke up very confused and was just wondering if this meant anything??

Probably, in your waking life, you are depressed or a little bit bored....or leading an empty life.  You are seeking fun like what your past friends, classmates, and boyfriends used to do to bring so much joy in your life.  You are right now wishing the past will relive again.

i'm a psychology major and have been doing dream interpretations as a hobby for a while.  friends in your dream represent yourself or your personality aspects, not actually friends. what this dream may be trying to tell you is that there is a part of yourself that you have rejected or forgotten.  maybe there is a certain skill that you used to be good at and you haven't practiced it in a while, or if you are still in school, maybe peer pressure is getting to you too much and you need to be more like yourself.
