I had this weird dream? What does it mean?

I had this dream that I just cannot forget. Is it significant?

I'm at a Fox recording studio, and two of my classmates (boy and girl) are in there, saying testing, wearing 3-D glasses. Then all of a sudden, a monster flies in a a hovercraft type thing. (It starts getting macabre here) It rips off one of their arms, leaving no skin on it, then starts screaming "Ain't 8! (don't ask, I don't get it either)." It goes back down the hall. All of a sudden, we are outside. It is killing tons of people, and I am hiding under a playground. I am eating mushrooms while under there. Then I somehow defeat it.

Is this just a random, weird dream? Or is it somehow significant?

  1. It's just a random weird dream.

  2. Ive learned in my neuroscience courses that dreams are a result of our brains processing information that has occurred.  Such that, you dream more of people that you around more often because you had interactions with them during the day, so your brain is committing that to memory, and in that process its mixing everything else that went on throughout the day (including any worried thoughts), culminating into one big crazy mess.  So whenever I try to figure out a dream, I just think of the things that happened that day before and see how it relates.  I don't think it has anything to do with something thats going to happen in the future, dreams are just of what has already happened.

  3. Um... I'm no expert but... are you sure you didn't just have a bad trip on LSD? If not... I think you probably ate something funky before you went to bed... lol.

  5. Here is what I found on some key themes in your dream. Hope it helps. If not, perhaps it was just very random and you should try not to eat right before going to bed <--(old wives tale.)

    Monster

To dream that you are followed by a monster, signifies that grief and misfortune are in your immediate future. Monsters represent parts of yourself that you find brutish and ugly. You may possess some fears or some repressed emotions.

To dream that you kill a monster, signifies that you will successfully deal with your rivals and advance to a higher and better position.

    Arm

To dream that you rip someone else's arms out, indicates that you are extremely upset with something that this person has done, but you have not been able to fully express your anger. Because you tend to keep your emotions inside, it is finding expression in your dreams in a violent way.

    Eight

Eight stands for power of authority, success, karma, material gains, regeneration, and wealth. When the number eight appears in your dream, trust your instincts and intuition

    Hallways

To see a hallway in your dream, symbolizes the beginning of a path that you are taking in life or a journey into the unknown and self exploration. It represents spiritual, emotional, physical, or mental passages in your life. It is indicative of a transitional phase in your life.

    Massacre

To witness a massacre in your dream, suggests that you are a follower. You follow the ideals of others without question and hesitation.

    Hiding

To dream that you are hiding, suggests that you are keeping some secret or withholding some information. You may not be facing up to a situation or not want to deal with an issue. However, you may be getting ready to reveal and confess before somebody finds out.

    Mushroom

To dream that you are eating mushrooms, denotes that you will be humiliated and disgraced by love. You will have many uphill battles and challenging situations and relationships.

  6. I can condense Lady May's interpretation for you.

It may just be a random dream, or it could have meaning, like Carl Jung proposed in his book, (which I read) "Man and his symbols."

The classmates are your audience, getting you prepared for a speech, or event in which you talk.

3-D glasses is your idea of giving them a different perspective, one that takes more than normal eyes to behold.

    Conclusion

    1. You have words that change the way people see things.

All of sudden there is the monster. It destroys your audience. This is a fear of making people/audience feel distraught when you speak, or your mind is going on the defense and not caring how people are inspired by what you provide to your audience. Your choose.

    So you head out side.

More people, more audience. I have come to conclusion

    2. Your fear, is not that the audience will hurt you, but that you will hurt the audience.

Next is the mushrooms. Mushrooms are fungus, and are not to be confused with a steak. The fungus really grows inside your mind, and yet you consume it even more.  I think you have fears of hurting yourself on a small but a continuing scale, and others on a grander one.

Defeating the monsters shows that you have the ability to conquer your fears.

"There are two mental sectors, in which all thoughts can be placed: hopes and fears. How they play together, with language at their orgin, can cause utter confusion or deep insight."

  7. Well, I too have random dreams and sometimes think they mean something. if you really feel like it has a meaning then maybe it does. If you just have that strong feeling then maybe it does. Maybe some kind of problem will occur that seems to affect everyone around you. Then eventually you'll defeat it. Or maybe it was just random. Sorry if I wasn't of much help.

  8. a little a both!

little weird...but this could mean you can defeat a big wave coming into your life soon!!! =D

  9. My opinion is you were in a situation where you already werent understanding the reason behind the dream so it just got stranger as it progressed trying to remove yourself from the strangeness of it all.  But the monster could symbolize a fear you have or an insecurity of being lower than others or powerless in a situation to change it.  I feel dreams help us to learn how to deal with stressful problems that may arise in our normal life too... this may be your mind telling you.. im feeling a little stressed and we need to learn how to deal with things if they do get any worse.
