One of the credit cards is from the same bank as my checking account. I receive 2 direct deposits: One from ssi the other from my mother.

  1. Yes, they can if they obtain a court judgment.

  2. Depends; read the terms of use document on your credit card.

Contact both credit card companies ASAP and see what arrangements you can make.

  3. i have a friend who just went through this, they can freeze your checking account, and garnish your wages, sue you and make you pay the legal fees, and ruin your credit and if you cannot pay now they will put a lien on future earnings for the money unless you go completely bankrupt and you have to be in debt a certain amount to be able to do that too, good luck

  4. Yes. Do the best you can to pay those cards off or you'll lose all the money in your checking account and once that money runs out they'll try to start collecting valuable stuff you have. Be careful.

    Good luck.

  5. yea they will start taking money out of your bank account so be careful.
