I had to work hard last year to bring the team together, says Michael http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 – Cricket News Update
Days before the all-important series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, the Australian captain, has admitted that he had to work extremely hard last year to get the best out of the side, which was shattered after losing the Ashes
as well as the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011 in the sub-continent.
The Kangaroos ruled the world of cricket for almost one and a half decade and remained invincible at times from mid-1990s to 2007. However, since the retirement of some of their all-time great players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Glenn-Donald-McGrath-c60183,

Apart from the inclusion of a number of young players in the team, Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 (CA) made many changes in the team management, which did not make things easy for the middle-order batsman.
While talking exclusively to ESPNcricinfo, the New South Welshman revealed that he had to work overtime to gel the team together. However, Clarke is happy that the side was still able to produce results, despite some alteration in the
team officials.
“That's really been forgotten, the fact we had so many changes in that South African series and even in Sri Lanka, but we managed to still have success,” Clarke said. “I'll never forget the work and the time I had to put in to try to
bring the team together to perform against such a good team in their own backyard.”
The Aussie skipper is delighted with the effort of his players over the last 18 months to regain some pride for Australia’s cricket.
“Credit to the players, because their attitude, their work ethic, their will to try to help the team win, was what managed to help us to win in Sri Lanka and then also level the series in South Africa,” he added.
