  1. you were probably really uncomfortable before you went to bed.

  2. The two nightmares were likely triggered by the same stimulus of the inner mind.

You could have had some discomfort in your sleep due to surroundings, something on your mind or going on in your life that is worrisome or even digestive issues - seriously.  It could also be the result of some exposure to a horror story or movie, there's often little explanation except that exposure to horrifying things plus restlessness in sleep are usually involved.

The two 'stories' in two different bad dreams don't need to be similar at all - only the theme of 'nightmare'.  A nightmare can easily be it's own creature and not the specific product of some particular life detail - although multiples like this are generally driven by a common stimulus.

    All the best to you.

  3. Yes this is common. I normally have nightmares right before I get sick. if I wake up in the middle of the night and fall back to sleep right away i sometimes go back into the nightmare. so i tend to stay up for a little while. I know im a baby.

But here is a link to look at the physical aspect of nightmare.

Hopefully figure a way not to have them.

  4. That happens to me sometimes. I think it's pretty common. Youre still all worked up from the previous dream and still thinking about it I'm sure.
