  1. Educate yourself.

You're sensing yourself that you need it now. I don't know you. You only need to know yourself.

  2. Distract yourself from the stress by doing research on whether what happens to you after death depends on what you believe, or doesn't.

  3. I'm sorry you are feeling like this.  But want to share something:

Religion and faith can be intertwined but they are not the same thing.  You can be religious w/o having faith; you can have faith w/o being religious.  I grew up in private Catholic school / home (I'm 37) and for me, organized religion is not something I am interested in.  HOWEVER, I have a ton of faith in a higher power based on numerous "ironic occurrences" that have happened when I was in question and asked.

My point:  you don't need to necessarily need to be religious to have faith or wonder if you're having the "wrong" faith.  To me, it simply sounds like you just need to do a little self-exploring and educate yourself a little more about life, death, religion, faith.....mostly who YOU are and what works for YOU.  The other things will work themselves out.....and worst case, go talk to a therapist.  As "taboo" as they may sound, they are great and unbiased to help you "find your way" as a person...not to clone you into being or thinking someone else you're not. :) (Sadly, human nature and society do that enough at times.)

    Good luck. :)
